Respect

Trust

You have decided that your student’s education is to be conducted at APA. You have trusted us with your precious child. That is a tall order and we take that responsibility seriously. Thank you for the trust you’ve put in us. In return we will honor that trust and do our best to be honest open and forthright. I will do my best to make sure SPED law is followed, that your students IEP is conducted with integrity and your scholar receives the best education we can provide.

I hope there is a clear understanding that I respect both you and your scholars. Special education is just that—Special.  There is a degree of intimacy that we as teachers obtain with your families. We sometimes know very difficult aspects of a child’s life. Please know that you and your child have my respect. I can only guess at the challenges in your life and I honor and admire what you carry each day.
